About

The North Yorkshire Evening Road Race League, or “NYERRL” is a series of cycle races organised by local clubs under British Cycling rules. It began in 2012 with a 6 race series, and in 2014 grew to 8 events. These are held fortnightly on Thursday evenings throughout May, June and July. Races are typically 35 miles in length covering multiple laps of a circuit of roads. Professional traffic management for each event is provided by Community TM Ltd.

The League has historically attracted riders from a wide range of clubs and teams across the Yorkshire region and beyond, and it provides an excellent platform for competitive Team racing. Every round is a Regional B Event, with 66 available BC points, from 15 for the win to 1 for 10th place. Every BC point scored also contributes to that rider’s individual NYERRL League tally, in addition to his/her Team’s NYERRL League position. At the conclusion of the Series, the highest ranked rider claims the accolade of NYERRL Champion, and the winning Team receives the coveted NYERRL Shield.
